Fishing Director/Researcher

THE FISHING COACHES WILL:
Pay you every two weeks. We have excellent credit.
Teach you our fishing system, so that you’ll have the most enjoyable outdoor experiences possible.
Treat you with respect, because an employee is very important to us!

COMPENSATION:
Annual salary of $33,000 to $37,000, DOE.
1/3 of your fishing-trip related mileage.
After 90 days, 6 paid holidays. After 1 year, one week paid vacation.
Up to $800 relocation bonus.

HOURS:
34-40 hours/week plus you’ll host roughly 1-3 group fishing trips (“fish-ins”) per month, often on weekends.

TIME OF DAY:
Flexible…but 9:00 to 5:00 (1/2 hour off for lunch) is suggested.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Relocating to within 35 minute drive from our office in Bellingham, Washington.
Very computer-friendly
People-friendly, and diplomatic.
Have (or acquire w/in 3 months of employment) a 4-wheel-drive 6 or 8 cylinder truck/SUV to haul boat.
8+ years of fishing experience.
Excellent employer refs
No tobacco use
Vehicle & a good driving record. You’ll drive to a good number of fishing locations.
Valid driver’s license & auto insurance.
Ability to operate small boats.
Good credit history & not bankrupt last 10 years.
2 years of college preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Contribute to our goal of being one of the fastest growing fishing groups in the NW.
Contribute ideas in any, and all aspects of the group.
Take on and complete new projects and challenges as they arise.
Have a positive attitude in finding solutions.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
70% will likely be in-office work, expanding our computerized database and computerized Gameplans.
Contacting fishing sources to research fishing scenarios & techniques, etc.
Lots of variety, including:
Answering member’s fishing questions
Coordinating volunteers
Coordinating on-site group fishing trips/seminars
Coordinating fishing/boating equipment for group fishing trips.
Public relations.
Updating web site, and working with web consultants.
“In-field fishing-system research” (that’s right, you’ll get paid to go fishing/researching.)
Liaison to the charities (mostly fishing related) that we work to support.
Photography, and possible video shoots.
Misc. out-of-office tasks that may include driving, as needed.
